for specific problems or errors, please post the code (ideally MWE [1])
you use.

please be more specific here, especially "work". GUI manipulations? Too few
iterations/second?. Do you have a reference that on a different machine it
works faster?
How much RAM did you dedicate to it? What dos 'top' command says about memory
usage?
