I would suggest to first take paper and pen and evaluate - for the parameters
you use - consolidation time vs. elastic time (e.g. time for an elastic
undrained P-wave to travel through the specimen).
If you find that the consolidation time is much faster then you should not
expect any build-up.
Without this prior brainstorming it will be very difficult for you to
understand what happens.
