Klaus Thoeni proposed the following answer: Not sure what you are trying to do but it almost sounds like the batch mode could be useful: yade-batch --help yade-batch sometablefile.table yourscript.py >> logfile.dat & An example is provided here [1] but you can also set up easier tables or even run yade-batch without a table file.
