Good evening, I apologise if this is a relatively simple question but I am trying to install yade in my ubuntu 16.04.03 by running sudo apt-get install yade (yadedaily behaves similarly) Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: yade : Depends: gtk2-engines-pixbuf but it is not going to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. i consequently try sudo apt-get install gtk2-engines-pixbuf and get Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done libgtk2.0-0 is already the newest version (2.24.30-1ubuntu1.16.04.2). 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. i have no idea what to do Any help is really appreciated.
