Question #663532 on Yade changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/663532
Status: Open => Answered Jérôme Duriez proposed the following answer: Hi, Flow.ids is never used by the code of FlowEngine (see source code at [*] if you wish to check it) so, again, it is *not a problem* if it is neither defined by the user, nor updated by YADE itself ;-) As for vizualizing movements, seeing with naked-eye particle movements on YADE GUI, or real-simulation time Paraview animations, is quite rare. (would you see sand grain movements during a triaxial test in the lab ?) As such, this is not a good indicator whether things go "well" or not.
