Question #664816 on Yade changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/664816
Status: Open => Answered Robert Caulk proposed the following answer: Hello Henry, Firstly, why are you compiling from sources? Is there a specific reason for it? It is much easier to install from packages using sudo apt-get install yade or yadedaily [1]. If you have a good reason for installing from sources then consider installing on a LTS version of Ubuntu like 14.04, 16.04 (or 18.04 in a month or two). Finally, if you need it compiled from sources on 17.10, then you need to show us the output of cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=../yourinstallDir ../yourtrunkDir so we can see which libraries are found and which ones are not. Additionally, you might consider looking on this forum to find people who have had the same problem as you. A brief search of "no x rendering available" yields [2][3]. Please try these solutions and let us know if they work or not.
