git clone https://gitlab.com/yade-dev/trunk.git

I hope it is clear that the typical usage of Yade does not involve
modifying the source code. Everything can be controlled through the
Python interface. Thus sudo apt-get install yade is the preferred method
of installation unless you need to develop an entirely new contact law
or add-on package.
