Zhoufeng Shi gave more information on the question: thanks for the response. but it seems that crack (bond broken) only happened after peak stress which is abnormal because both in experiment and PFC simulation, the crack should start earlier than that and slightly after the peak capacity, a surge in number of cracks is expected.
