I am concerned that the original reference will eventually dangle,
pointing to a resource that no longer exists. When that happens, users
who have been accustomed to "clicking through" the copy-from metadata
will be a bit surprised.

Also, image creators are free to add this metadata manually if they
chose.

For these reasons, I'm marking this bug as wontfix. Followup discussion
is welcome, though I think it might make more sense in the form of a
blueprint (since this is more of a feature request than a defect).

Bug description:
  When a user registers an image with glance and provides the --copy-
  from option Glance should hold onto that original value and report it
  back to users who have access to read its meta-data.
