I assume you're specifically referring to the CLI (rather than
keystone's API), where this is already implemented by python-
openstackclient.

It would be ideal if Keystone also accepted named parameters for
tenants and roles etc

Bug description:
Currently keystone requires passing ID values to nearly every command,
until when adding users to roles you're knee deep in 3 giant hashes
that you're juggling and copy-pasting around.
This is really tedious, error prone, and also makes it more complex to
just script a default keystone install.
This should allow passing plain usernames, tenant names and role names
rather than their ID.
