test_models_sync() will be broken on upcoming Alembic versions

Bug description:
test_models_sync() is currently making assumptions, that won't be true
in the upcoming Alembic releases (0.7.7 and 0.8.0 respectively).
Unless we fix it now, it's going to break the gate when the releases
of Alembic are cut.
