Public bug reported: Testing Glance Liberty RC1 over on top of Jessie, I have found out that if I don't write a value for filesystem_store_datadir in both glance- api.conf and glance-registry.conf, Glance simply doesn't work, despite what is written here:
http://docs.openstack.org/developer/glance/configuring.html#configuring- the-filesystem-storage-backend So I would suggest to either fix the doc, or better, make it so that the filesystem_store_datadir really defaults to a sane value, which is /var/lib/glance/images in the case of a distribution deployment. It is my understanding that devstack anyway sets a correct value there, so we wont break the gate by fixing the default value to something that works.
