MagicMocks aren't using specs so typos pass tests

Bug description:
Many MagicMocks currently aren't using specs or autospec so they
respond to any function call.
The downside to this is that calls to non-existent assertion calls
silently pass instead of failing. An example of how these cases build
up is available in the patch for the related bug [1].
