Setting a different type will get an error from the API. This behavior should be the same when creating a volume from the Volumes tab and the Volume Snapshots tab. Navigate to Admin > volume panel 2. Create a new volume type 3. Navigate to Project > volume panel 4. Create a volume and create a snapshot from it 5. Navigate to volume snapshots tab and click on create volume. Select the new type created on step and click submit. 6. Note that the volume creation action fails.
