It may be interresting to parse config files in
/etc/cloud/cloud.cfg/*.cfg for jinja templating.
As an example :
## template: jinja
#cloud-config
runcmd:
- [hostname, "{{ ds.meta_data.tags.Name }}"]
# - [hostname, "$(cloud-init query ds.meta_data.tags.Name)"]
