OpenStack release: Yoga
When cold migrating/resizing a pc (i440) instance to a compute with
libvirt.hw_machine_type = x86_64=q35 - the instance gets migrated from
pc to q35.
In my case - I'm using config drive - which ends up as IDE device, which is not
translated to SATA device and nova-compute shows following error:
2024-02-18 06:57:44.807 7 ERROR oslo_messaging.rpc.server raise
libvirtError('virDomainDefineXML() failed') 2024-02-18 06:57:44.807 7 ERROR
oslo_messaging.rpc.server libvirt.libvirtError: unsupported configuration: IDE
controllers are unsupported for this QEMU binary or machine type
