First, are you in fact using yahoo messenger or
yahoo chat2? IF you are using latest version of Yahoo Messenger, (at least
on my own machines -- 2 desktops and one laptop) you must click the Voice icon
THREE times on Messenger startup on first use. After that, if you change
rooms, you must give it one click. Note that the size of the chat window
will enlarge each time you do this, requiring "resize" periodically
