In this group, as with all Yahoo Groups, it IS possible to respond to only to the write of a particular message and not to the entire group.
If replying while logged into the group, after you hit "reply", you can PULL DOWN at the right end of the TO: line and get to the email address of the one person you may wish to be writing to.
