Paul,
The answer to your question is YES. The only two ways you can talk with your current set up is by pressing the talk button, OR by clicking hands free. HOWEVER.... There is a program called a mic locker. What that does is hold down the talk button for you. And if the other person uses that also, then it's like talking on the phone. However if there is a third party, they will not be able to join your conversation. I had thought I put the mic locker in the file section of this group site, but I'll look and if I didn't, I will. It is a very small program, and very easy to use. Try it out, and I guarantee you'll love it. If you have any problems, let me know. What I want is a two-person video call so I've been trying out the "Conference". However I find that this requires I "push to talk" or use the hands-free options. > > I've not done much serious investigation but I've heard rumours that "hands free" does not work very well. Also, with only two people, I would have thought that a full-duplex audio system didn't need "push to talk". > > So, am I correct in using "Conference" and is there no "always on" option for simple two person full-duplex calls? > > Regards, > Paul DS. > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Unsubscribe from Yahoo_Messenger mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Switch from Normal to Digest mail mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Switch from Normal to NoMail mail mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Switch from Digest or NoMail to Normal mail mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Write to the Moderators and Owner of the List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Suggestions for improvements to the List should be sent to the "owner" address listed above.
