there are a bunch of variables to this, could be your computer, could be something screwed up with yahoo instant messenger, the resgistry on your computer, or yahoo just being yahoo and taking forever to sign  your account in. my suggestion, if you that not done it already is to try a yahoo substitute program, trillian, IMGiant, i suggest yazak, as ir will give you full access to your instant messenger, alias's, voice, web cam, and chat. if your account signs in on that you know is the yahoo software.
