Please let me explain a few things, and maybe it will clear things up
for people.
1. Every one of you joined this yahoo group by clicking on Join Group
on a yahoo page because you were having problems with Messenger, or
did a search for this group and submitted a request to join. NO ONE
in this group can be a member without their knowledge. It is just not
possible. You MUST click the JOIN button yourself and enter your
email address to join this group.
2. If you want to know why you are receiving emails from people you
don't know, it's because we all belong to this group. So when you
reply to an email that you've received giving out your phone number,
you have just sent that one email to all 2,000 people in this group.
Think of this group as a giant bulletin board where people post
comments questions and concerns. If you do not want to receive an
email everytime someone asks a question, then go to this link

membership to say you only want to receive a daily digest, or that you
do not want to receive any emails at all.
3. This group is made up of people who have questions, concerns, or
problems with Yahoo Messenger. They post these questions and hope to
get help with their problem.
Please do not take offense at an email you received, as it may not
have been directed toward you, but to another member.
Please follow these simple rules, and I'm sure things will get easier
and better over time.
1. If you do not want to be part of this group, please reply to this
email, and asked to be removed from this group. Normally we ask you
to come to the site and remove yourself, but under the circumstances,
I will remove you from our group if you reqest it.
2. Keep in mind, when you get an email, it went to 2,000 other
members as well as you. When you send an email, that too goes to all
2,000 members.
3. PLEASE post the name of the person you are addressing when you
answer a post.
4. Put your reply post on the top of the email NOT in the middle or at
the bottom.
5. If you are simply asking a question, then start your email out
with the word QUESTION - and state your question clearly and with as
much information as you can provide, and sign your email with your
name, screen name, or whatever, so we know who to respond to.
6. If you see that someone is going on and on about why they are
getting emails and such, please don't have a 30 post discussion on
people being idiots. All it does is cause problems, when it can
simply be handled by either deleting the user, or never authorizing
the post to begin with.
Let's keep this an awesome group as I know it can be. There are some
very smart people here, and I know each of us can learn something that
we may not have known yesterday.
Please be patient with everyone. Believe it or not, there really are
some people out there who just found the internet yesterday.
I will try to have a discussion with Tom (the owner of this group) and
/or the Moderators of this group to come up with some system of
removing users that ask to be removed, and NOT to approve posts that
are complaining posts, or that give out personal information.
Thank you all for your input to this group, and your questions to this
group, which help others. You are all a great bunch of people, all
out for the common good. Let's keep it that way.!!!!!
