One sure way to fix it is to use Microsoft/s Autoruns utility to delete the
Messenger (or YPager) item under the Login tab:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/Autoruns.mspx

The AT&T is a pure marketing/branding thing. It doesn't change the
functionality of the program at all.

Subject: [Y!M] Yahoo Messenger starts with windows even with option deselected

I'm finding that Yahoo Messenger is still starting up with Windows
even though I have the option "Automatically start AT&T Yahoo!
Messenger" deselected. Am running 8.1.0.209. Seems like a bug.
Anyone else experience this?

Also...why is it now AT&T Yahoo! Messenger?

Thanks, Steve.
