Well, for people who have already added you, it will stay as whatever it was when they added you and you allowed them to add you.
For new people, it will show up as whatever you put in your "My Contact Details". You should have just Linda or Linda_Jeanne as your first name and nothing else. For everyone on your friends list already, they know your info and can remove it or edit it by right clicking your name, choosing "Contact Details" and then editing your details on their end. If you followed my instructions which I think were the same as someone else's, then you will be OK. You just can't change things that other people have on their computers. I personally, ALWAYS edit the contact details of new friends, to show as their Yahoo ID first, rather than their real name... especially for people I do not know very well... but I also save their real name too. I open their "Contact Details", then type their Yahoo ID in front of their real first name, then a hyphen, then I also add other contact details (asl, etc.) there to make it easier to remember people. Test this on someone new and you will see that it works.
