Probably what happened is when you installed iTunes, it slammed your system
to make it the default player for everything. Most media players do that if
you let them... and Apple is worse than some other companies for doing that.
I know the QuickTime player tries to make itself the default player for
every kind of media on my computer until I went through all the preferences
and shut it down except for the things I needed QuickTime for.

Most Media Players and IM programs will come with very aggressive default
settings so you should always go through all of the preferences and shut
many of them down. They all want to add themselves to the startup processes
(but in your case, apparently iTunes wasn't in your startup processes)
unless you have a security program that monitors these things and alerts you
to stop the addin to the startup processes.

With any new program installed on your computer, you should always navigate
through all of the menus and become familiar with them and go through the
preferences, options, connection menus to make sure the program isn't going
to phone home every time you use it.

BTW, you're welcome! :-D

Subject: [Y!M] YM Launchcast working now

Hi, all I had a problem with the plugin "launchcast" working before & got
some really good feedback.
I found that it still didn't want to do the right thing until I opened the
ITunes plugin at the same time & it works great now.
Possibly the ITunes is set as a default for the program that runs the yahoo
program.

Anyway it may be of help to anyone else that has any apple programs
installed with YM & are having prob's

Thanks Lenny & the rest of the group for all the help with issues as it's a
great lot of people helping each other with prob's that yahoo don't seem to
be ab;e to assist.

Cheers all,

Teamsta
