I'm not a Mac user so I'm not sure if the following is 100% accurate but it should get you in the right direction.
If you have YM properly installed on your computer, during the installation process, it would normally ask you if you want shortcuts installed in your taskbar (or Mac's term for it.... dock?), etc. If it did not install the dock shortcut, then you should be able (at least on a PC) right click on the Main Menu shortcut to YM and create a new shortcut on your taskbar/dock or on your desktop. If on your desktop, you should then be able to drag it to your dock/taskbar. Maybe one of the Mac users will chime in with more detailed instructions on how to get the YM shortcut to your dock.
