How do you know it's a "booter" that is booting you and not something to do with your YM install or internet connection, firewall, ISP, etc? I'm certainly not defending Yahoo but I just wanted to know how you would know what is causing you to get booted?
If the person is using a DDOS type of attack where they flood your YM with scripts, then Yahoo should have the capabilities to stop those people but you would normally see evidence of this attack prior to your being booted. I know that Yahoo Chat has these capabilities as you will often see it in the rooms where someone sends multiple messages and Yahoo blocks them and I think it's automatic so they should have the ability to do it for YM also. I occasionally get one of these types of attacks after I flame a nigerian spammer/scammer and they try to get back at me by doing one of these attacks but it doesn't really affect my YM or my computer since I have sufficient security software/hardware installed but I can see that they are trying and sometimes some of their messages will get through and I just delete them or sometimes even reply with a raspberry smiley. LOL These nigerian scammers really hate when you reply to one of their IM's with something like this... "Why don't you go get a real job and quit trying to scam people? It's no wonder you live in a pathetic 3rd world country and your country will always suck because of leeches like you. If you don't stop, you and your entire family will die and burn in hell for eternity!" They really get peeved when I send them that reply. LOL You should probably get a new ID to use when chatting with your friends and family and keep a separate ID when surfing the rooms. That's what I do.
