I recently tried out Yahoo messenger for Windows, both version 8 and the beta 9. After using the Mac version for years, of which I've heard ad nauseam how deficient the Mac version is, I have concluded that the Mac version is much more to my liking. Its definitely BETTER.
The Windows version is the most bloated convoluted and busy piece of junk app I've ever used. The Mac version is simple and does what it does, chat without all extraneous and ridiculous extra "stuff" that is laid onto the Windows version. Thank you Yahoo for keeping the Mac version of Yahoo messenger simple, streamlined, and clean. One gripe is the video frame is not so great. That needs improvement.
