Earlier today I had my messenger on, (version 9.0.0.2112), i was in yahoo email
at the time, and i got an onscreen prompt saying i had been signed out due to
my having signed in on another machine/device. I had been working in firefox
with three or four open tabs back and forth and i at first thought i had
accidentally signed out of email on one of the tabs, and when i tried to
access another folder in my email i got the yahoo prompt requesting my
password, it had my yahoo sign in seal so i know it was from yahoo.

When i minimized my browser a few minutes later i saw the little prompt again ,
looked at my messenger and it had been signed out. I am the only person who
knows my password, and while i did sign n and out of yahoo mail and flickr i
never signed out of messenger.

Has anyone else been signed out in this manner, or is it possible someone has
managed to obtain my yahoo password using some kind of password hack device?
I'm very aware of phishing scams and I have never even come close to acessing
any of those type messages.

I do know someone however who might have access to some kind of sophisticated
software and might have cracked my password although it is fairly strong.

Is there any way of telling if this was a false signout or if someone on
another device actually did access my messenger? And if that was done what are
my options in terms of pursuing or prosecuting this person?
