I know these kinds of things are available but I'm highly suspect of
software from people that purport to allow you to snoop on other people...
what's to say that the software isn't also snooping on you.. i.e.-spyware.
Here is Buddy Spy which purports to do this. http://www.buddy-spy.com/
Once again, download at your own risk and/or do a LOT more research to see
if there is any spyware associated with these kinds of software downloads
and don't take the word of the software company.

Something else that I saw was if you open your Yahoo Mail account with the
same ID as you use for YM, then click on the contacts tab and scroll through
your contacts. Often, while someone may have themselves showing as
invisible in YM, they still have their main Yahoo Preferences set up to show
them as online in other Yahoo services. Unfortunately, you can only show 25
contacts at a time in Yahoo Mail so if you have a lot, you need to go
through page by page. I do not see a way to sort the Yahoo Mail contacts as
to who is online or not.

My attitude is that is someone is invisible from you, why do you really want
to chat with them. You can still send them an IM, whether they are online
or offline or invisible and they can choose to either reply or not.
