Sometimes it's the Yahoo servers but other times, whenever a program is
having an issue, it might be time to re-boot the computer. That means
disconnecting from the internet. Closing all programs that are open.
Properly turn off the computer using the Start>Turn Off Computer (instead of
just unplugging it or hitting the power switch). After it's off for a few
seconds, then turn it back on. I find that most computers should have this
done every day or two otherwise they start to get sluggish or have little
quirks. This is more common with older version of Windows but Windows
XP-Home also seems to be affected by this more than Windows XP-Pro. I
haven't left my Vista Home Premium laptop on long enough to see if this is
still an issue.

If the re-boot doesn't fix the problem, then the other thing is if you
inadvertently blocked YM using your firewall. What firewall do you use?

Subject: [Y!M] Yahoo Messenger

Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone else is having problems getting messenger
to sign in? It is odd yesterday it was fine, worked great, then today, bing,
nothing, it won't even sign us in. I haven't changed anything since
yesterday. And I have the 8.0 version. Any Ideas??? Thank you.
