Ummmm.. this is a Yahoo Group, which you subscribed to. These messenges will be coming via email, not on your Yahoo Messenger. At the bottom of each email you receive from the group, there are instructions for changing your preferences to either No-Mail, Daily Digest, etc.
Disabling Yahoo Messenger will not stop these emails. You can either go No-Mail to get NO emails or go with the Daily Digest to only get one email a day with all of the posts/replies on that one email or you could unsubscribe from the group. All of these things are covered by the instructions below. Come on what a waste of time for the same message to be relayed by different people on the same subject, this is just as annoying as pop ups . this is good reason for me to disable messenger because so far its been nothing more than an annoyance.
