Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Messenger are two completely different programs so they should not be acting the way you are describing.... BUT it can happen under this next scenario... If you have the Yahoo Mail Chat enabled (the little box by your folders and contacts that allow you to IM right from the Yahoo Mail page), it could be that is why you are getting signed out of the Yahoo Messenger program when you "sign in" to Yahoo Mail and the Yahoo Mail Chat feature is enabled and you have then signed into it. This is a known issue but Yahoo says there is nothing they can do about it. You cannot be signed into Yahoo Messenger and Yahoo Mail Chat under the same ID at the same time as Yahoo Servers would not know where to send any IM's that are sent to you. If you were signed into YM under one Yahoo ID and then signed into Yahoo Mail under another Yahoo ID, you would not boot yourself from YM. If this is what is happening to you, then you need to disable the Yahoo Mail Chat feature so it does not sign you out of YM whenever you sign into Yahoo Mail. If this is not what is happening to you, then I would need more information. Let me know but please reply to the group so all can benefit from your information and maybe offer other solutions.
