Apologies if this has already been mentioned (I've only recently joined this list), but this weekend will be the London Open House weekend. Many buildings of historical/architectural interest which are usually closed to the public will be open free of charge. Although the opening hours will overlap with the times of the conference, there are several major buildings within just a few minutes' walk of the ICA which might be of interest for short lunchtime visits. For example, the following are Grade I or II listed buildings which can be highly recommended: The Foreign Office and HM Treasury in Parliament Street Chatham House (former home of several Prime Ministers) at 10 St James's Square Canada House in Trafalgar Square Alec Wearing
