The weather in Belfast is quite different from London, and slightly more
predictable.  The few hundred mile between the two cities can make a big
difference in temperature.

In addition to the normal rain clouds you would see in the area, the
hills around Belfast force the air to rise just before reaching the
city, and this produces rain:
