The weather in Belfast is quite different from London, and slightly more predictable. The few hundred mile between the two cities can make a big difference in temperature. In addition to the normal rain clouds you would see in the area, the hills around Belfast force the air to rise just before reaching the city, and this produces rain: http://ww2010.atmos.uiuc.edu/(Gh)/guides/mtr/cld/dvlp/org.rxml > Put it another way, whatever the forecast, be prepared for rain.
