Hi, Just out of curiosity, we do provide rpc port facility to AM, so that client can communicate with AM. Let say if I provide X port number to AM, will it start listening to port automatically or do I need to code a server socket to listen on. Also do developers need to implement communication protocol between client and AM? Distributed shell example provided with hadoop is not much of a help.
