Hi Todd, Thanks for these comments. Per discussion in its parent JIRA YARN-291,
the first step of this feature is adding JMX API and RPC+CLI, so hope this will
not against your concern to have something only can access via JMX.
IMO, may be another reason of wanting JMX in Hadoop is to have redundant
channel for management path (as separation of data path and control path)? We
can continue discussion on HADOOP-9160. :)
