[[email protected]], my worry is that the specific container 
specification you describe and the container tags are very different 
semantically, so I am not sure it is a good idea to consolidate them, even if 
we were to use key-value pairs for the container tags (which does not seem like 
it's needed).
But let's hear other people's opinions too.
