Bobby, thanks for putting this together. Some items from the DataTorrent wish 
list (most already covered above):
* gang scheduling (similar to 
[YARN-624|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YARN-624?focusedCommentId=13662352&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-13662352])
* affinity, anti-affinity
* return resource requests that cannot be met
* attach restarted AM to existing containers
