You are right. Looks like final is only available for use by administrators.
Sorry for the misinformation.
I don't think this fix can go into 2.7.1 or 2.6.0 release. We can backport
YARN-4562 to 2.7 and fix this issue on top of that. Then you can get it only if
you upgrade to a later maintenance release. Do you want to create a patch
against trunk?
