I tried killing the RegistryDNS daemon manually, and found that when I do this
the daemon pid file disappears. The shell scripts are still expecting the pid
file to exist after the daemon is killed, which is why an error is printed. But
this does not interfere with the killing of the process.
I'll fix the javadoc error in my next patch.
