To keep the backward compatibility, we might need to support existing syntax.
Apart from this, as you suggested we could use like below.
*yarn rmadmin -updateNodeResource
"memory-mb=1024Mi,vcores=1,resource1=3Gi,resource2=2"*
Instead of "", we could use [] also.
If any resource param is not supported by RM, op could be marked as failed.
