Varun Saxena commented on YARN-7190:
------------------------------------

bq. I am wondering why the commit was not propagated from trunk but instead
done directly in branch-2?
The patch for trunk will be somewhat different owing to the way scripts are
written in trunk.
As this JIRA was blocking ATS branch-2 merge and had to be resolved before it,
we took a call to first get the changes in YARN-5355_branch2. And focus on
merging ATS and UI ASAP as the feature freeze date was nearing and most of us
were on leave from middle of last week due to Diwali. For trunk, we thought of
raising another JIRA.

As I am now back from leave, I can land up a patch here itself in a day or
less, instead of raising a new JIRA for trunk, if that works fine.

> [~jlowe] had a good observation about the user classpath getting extra jars
> in hadoop 2.x brought in with TSv2. If users start picking up Hadoop 2,x's
> version of HBase jars instead of the ones they shipped with their job, it
> could be a problem.
> So when TSv2 is to be used in 2,x, the hbase related jars should come into
> only the NM classpath not the user classpath.
