Hi [~cheersyang], the core scheduling of opportunistic containers (YARN-5220
for centralized scheduling and YARN-2877 for distributed scheduling) is done
and is part of Hadoop 2.9 and 3.0 releases.
However, the JIRAs here are not done and we are not working on them currently,
although I believe they could lead to significant improvements in opportunistic
container scheduling.
Would you be interested in working in one/some of them?
