ChengHuang created YARN-7683:
--------------------------------
Summary: what's the meaning of the existence of method
sendKillEvent in containerImpl?
Key: YARN-7683
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YARN-7683
Project: Hadoop YARN
Issue Type: Bug
Reporter: ChengHuang
I've found that in NM, while sometimes kill a container by sending
ContainerKillEvent directly, sometimes sendKillEvent method of containerImpl is
used。The total difference is sendKillEvent will set container‘s member variable
isMarkeForKilling true。
And this variable is only used in ContainerLaunch while invoking
launchContainer method. Besides while ContainerLaunch’s call() is called, we
have already checked container's state。
So,what's the meaning of the existence of sendKillEvent and isMarkeForKilling?
Besides,isMarkeForKilling has a spell error:(
