I just attached path 011 to address [~Jim_Brennan]'s review comments as well as
clean up some of the checkstyle issues. I have left some of the checkstyle
warnings on purpose, as I think it makes less sense to adhere to the checkstyle
standard in those instances. If you feel otherwise, let me know.
