Peter Bacsko commented on YARN-10102:

Since the new placement engine (YARN-10370) is almost ready, I strongly suggest
that we drop this feature. It would just further complicate a codebase which
will be thrown out anyway in a matter of days.

> The reduce the gap between Fair Scheduler and Capacity Scheduler, it's
> reasonable to have a {{%specified}} mapping. This would be equivalent to the
> {{<specified>}}  placement rule in FS, that is, use the queue that comes in
> with the application submission context.
