Akira AJISAKA commented on YARN-1483:
-------------------------------------
I think ${hadoop.tmp.dir} is a local dir in both hadoop 1.x and 2.x.
Closing this is as invalid.

> Project: Hadoop YARN
> Issue Type: Bug
> Affects Versions: 2.2.0
> Reporter: prophy Yan
>
> in hadoop 1.1.1, the ${hadoop.tmp.dir} is a hdfs dir.
> recently, i upgrade my hadoop cluster from 1.1.1 to 2.2.0, on official
> yarn-default.xml configuration page. the property
> 'yarn.nodemanager.local-dirs' value is '${hadoop.tmp.dir}/nm-local-dir', but
> i haven't seen this dir in hdfs. i see it in the linux local /tmp dir.
> so is this a bug?
