Robert Kanter reopened YARN-1898:

It would be a good idea to at least make the /jmx endpoint not redirect. If
you want to do any monitoring of both RMs, you can't because /jmx will always
redirect to the active RM (i.e. you can't get the jmx stats for the standby RM).
