Li Lu commented on YARN-3051:

I think for reader APIs,we need to support use cases both with and without the
context info. First of all, to the readers, the "context" info is only
contextual for the entities, but for for the queries. Actually, it's just a key
for the query.

IMHO, for GUIs, we need to support the "context" based query: given a cluster
id, list all related things, etc,. For end users, we need to support the
queries to query those "context": given a time window, query all entities in
this window, etc,. I remember we had some discussion on RESTful calls we need
to support (and some documents drafted by [~vrushalic]), but I couldn't find

Currently we're not including our first-class objects in the query. Are we
doing that deliberately?
