Wangda Tan commented on YARN-2882:
----------------------------------

Apologize for my late response for this, I'm traveling these days. I'm fine
with the latest approach, and also I'm fine to commit to trunk to unblock
YARN-1011. Thanks [~kkaranasos]/[~elgoiri] and reviews from [~kasha]/[~asuresh]!

[~kasha], I would suggest to wait at least one day for such API/behavior
changes after +1, so other people could also have chance to look at such
patches before get committed.

> This JIRA introduces the notion of container types.
> We propose two initial types of containers: guaranteed-start and queueable
> containers.
> Guaranteed-start are the existing containers, which are allocated by the
> central RM and are instantaneously started, once allocated.
> Queueable is a new type of container, which allows containers to be queued in
> the NM, thus their execution may be arbitrarily delayed.
